advertising > CCAD Art Sale

Each year Columbus College of Art & Design holds an annual student art sale. In 2009 I was asked to create a postcard that would engage the viewer and keep their interest. The challenge was creating a postcard that looked modern, but felt like a piece of art people would want to hang up and keep. For this challenge I decided to rely on a beautiful spot varnish. The texture is from thirty year old wrapping paper. Many ads were placed in local magazines and they were made to look like the postcard to create a brand unity for the event.
