About Chad Hughes
Chad is an artist, a designer, a photographer, a planner, a historian, a collector and much more. The drive to see and do all things started at a young age when he began to draw and paint. From the small town of Harrod, Ohio where he still currently resides, he loves all things community. As a production designer and graphic artist for Lima Memorial Health System he brought small and larger projects to life. He now serves as the creative director & manager of 19 Hawthorne Wedding & Event Venue. His eye for design and master planning skills have made his talents sought after in the Midwest. He attended the Columbus College of Art & Design and graduated in 2010 with a BFA in Advertising, Photography and Copywriting. He has owned and operated lifebulb design for over 20 years where he has captured and planned countless weddings and created family memories. His list of design clients includes the Columbus College of Art and Design, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, 19 Hawthorne Wedding & Event Venue, United States Track & Field, The Columbus Urban League, Lima Memorial Foundation, Kewpee Hamburgers, LuLu's Diner, Lima Public Library, The Columbus Zoo, Westerville City Schools, The Allen County Fair, The Auglaize Township Historical Society, Wilcox Family Chiropractic, Dentakeeping, Allen East Local Schools, Zion Lutheran Church, The 'Stang Gang, Wapak Summer Moon Festival, The History Hoodlums & the Tim Tebow Foundation - Night to Shine.
In 2020 at the hight of Covid-19 he curated a multi-artist, multi-gallery show titled “ commUNITY" at ArtSpace/Lima where he showcased many different types and aspects of what a community can be. He also serves on the ArtSpace/Lima’s Board, Lima Symphony’s Board, sets on the Bright Nights and Lima Memorial Foundation Capstone committees, is President of the Auglaize Township Historical Society, and resident historian/marketing for The Allen County Fair. He also recently started a podcast to highlight local wedding creative professionals in the midwest.
